Description
中文（臺灣）：1955年2月8日至11日間，位於浙江台州的大陳列島居民因國共戰爭而撤退到台灣，在基隆港上岸並短暫停留後，即安置在全台12個縣市，建立35處大陳新村供大陳民眾居住。1年後的1956年2月8日，亦即大陳居民撤退來台一周年的日子，各地大陳新村共舉落成典禮。大陳人對於安全撤退到台灣來，生活雖困頓，但對撤退來台一事卻視為是愛國之舉並充滿感恩。在各個大陳新村中，均可見到頌揚政府德政的碑碣。 　　頭城忠孝新村位於頭城大溪，感恩政府德澤的紀念碑設立在依山興建的新村的最下層，正面題以「恩同再造」，背面則為「銘感碑」，碑文說明居民捨棄故鄉房舍，撤退來台。被分配到宜蘭的大陳島民有4705人，受到宜蘭縣長甘阿炎在生活居所與補習教育方面的協助，故建碑感謝。立碑時間為1956年2月8日。此碑後期被以黑色大理石重新雕刻。
