Deutsch: Durchlichtmikroskopische Aufnahme (Leitz Laborlux 12 POL, NPL Fluotar 40/0.70-Objektiv, Canon 600D-DSLR) von Anhydritkristallen in einem Dünnschliff eines Anhydritgesteins bei gekreuzten Polarisatoren. Man beachte die bunten Interferenzfarben, die einen relativ hohen Brechungsindex anzeigen.
English: Light microscopic photograph (Leitz Laborlux 12 POL, NPL Fluotar 40/0.70 lens, Canon 600D-DSLR) of anhydrate crystals in a thin section of rock anhydrate, crossed niccols. Note the multiple interference colours, indicating a relatively high refraction index.
