English: The Hôtel de Maussac, in a transitional style between the late Renaissance and classicism, was built in the first half of the seventeenth century for Jacques de Baderon, Lord of Maussac, adviser to the Parliament from 1593 to 1643. Between 1603 and 1624 , it had constituted a vast land area between the main street Nazareth (location of current no.35-37 and former no.39), rue Philippe-Féral (location of current no.5) and rue de la Pleau (location of current no.4). In 1908, during the construction of the rue Théodore-Ozenne, the hotel was almost entirely washed away by the works, revealing some vestiges of the old building. On the main street of Nazareth remains the first bay, considerably altered, however. It is pierced on the 1st floor by two windows surmounted by triangular pediments, and on the 2nd floor by a mullion window. Behind, from the rue Théodore-Ozenne, the staircase tower can be seen, certainly built before 1624, when Jacques de Maussac acquired the house of the notary Vidal Cambefort (site of the current number 35). It is attributed to the architect Pierre Souffron. On the ground floor opens the door of the tower, framed by pilasters with Doric capitals which support an entablature surmounted by a pediment, which bore the coat of arms of Baderon de Maussac. The staircase is lit by mullioned windows, framed by alternating stone and brick pilasters. The staircase turret, which rests on a half-trunk, is pierced by two oculi, the stone frame of which is carved. The tower and the turret are capped with slate roofs.
Français : L'hôtel de Maussac, d'un style de transition entre la Renaissance tardive et le classicisme, est construit dans la première moitié du xviie siècle pour Jacques de Baderon, seigneur de Maussac, conseiller au Parlement de 1593 à 1643. Entre 1603 et 1624, il avait constitué un vaste domaine foncier entre la grande-rue Nazareth (emplacement des actuels no 35-37 et ancien no 39), la rue Philippe-Féral (emplacement de l'actuel no 5) et la rue de la Pleau (emplacement de l'actuel no 4). En 1908, lors du percement de la rue Théodore-Ozenne, l'hôtel est presque entièrement emporté par les travaux, laissant voir quelques vestiges du bâtiment ancien. Sur la grande-rue Nazareth subsiste la première travée, considérablement remaniée cependant. Elle est percée au 1er étage de deux fenêtres surmontées de frontons triangulaires, et au 2e étage d'une fenêtre à meneau. En arrière, depuis la rue Théodore-Ozenne, est visible la tour d'escalier, certainement construite avant 1624, lorsque Jacques de Maussac acquiert la maison du notaire Vidal Cambefort (emplacement de l'actuel no 35). Elle est attribuée à l'architecte Pierre Souffron. Au rez-de-chaussée s'ouvre la porte de la tour, encadrée de pilastres à chapiteaux doriques qui soutiennent un entablement surmonté d'une fronton, qui portait le blason de Baderon de Maussac. L'escalier est éclairé de fenêtres à meneaux, encadrées de pilastres en pierre et brique alternées. La tourelle d'escalier, qui repose sur une demi-trompe, est percée de deux oculi, dont le cadre en pierre est sculpté. La tour et la tourelle sont coiffées de toits en ardoise.
