On 20 March 2013, three South Korean television stations and a bank suffered from frozen computer terminals in a suspected act of cyberwarfare. The accused had a part-time job receiving foreign news in the KBS international news department and quit two months before the incident took place. The investigation was to find a hacker instead of a blackmailer, and the accused was suspected to be the main culprit of the case because he graduated from the Department of Computer Science at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
