English: A stone wall memorial plaque for John Henry Gurney. John Gurney was born on 31 July 1848 in Easton Lodge, Easton, Norfolk. He was a British ornithologist and was the son of John Henry Gurney Sr. and member of the Gurney family. He was one of the original members of the Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists' Society which was founded in March 1869. He died on the 8 November 1922. His memorial is on the wall of Saint Mary’s parish church, Northrepps, Norfolk. |
