Description
English: CWGC gravestone for Gunner Robert Stanley Williams of the Royal Fusiliers in the parish church of St Botolph in the village of Hevingham, Norfolk, United Kingdom. Robert was the son of Walter and Polly Williams of Hevingham and he was married to Marion Williams also of Hevingham. He was serving with the 456 Battery, 69 (10th Bn. The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment). This was a Territorial Army unit formed in September 1938. With the outbreak of war it moved to Denver in Norfolk. Its regimental headquarters were at Norwich. Williams died on 5 June 1942.
