Deutsch: Inferno Crater Lake: Der Kratersee entstand 1889 durch einen Vulkanausbruch. Der See mit einem schwefelsäurehaltigem Wasser von 80 Grad und einer zyklischen Veränderung seines Wasserpegels von ca. 8 Metern zeigt das geothermische Verhalten eines Geysirs und gilt als der größte Geysir der Welt. Der Kratersee liegt im Waimangu Volcanic Rift Valley auf der Nordinsel Neuseelands.
English: Inferno Crater Lake: The crater lake was created in 1889 by a volcanic eruption. The lake with a water containing sulfuric acid of 80 degrees and a cyclical change of its water level of approx. 8 meters shows the geothermal behavior of a geyser and is considered the largest geyser in the world. The crater lake is located in the Waimangu Volcanic Rift Valley on the North Island of New Zealand.
