Description
Deutsch: Antatktis, Port Lockroy: Eine Bucht an der Westküste der Insel Wienke. Die ehemalige britische Forschungsstation Port Lockroy wurde 1996 zur historischen Stätte erklärt und ist heute ein Museum. Während der Sommermonaten wird in der Station von den Britten ein Postamt betrieben. Die hier aufgegebenen Touristen-Postkarten erhalten eine Sondermarke mit Sonderstempel.
English: Antatktis, Port Lockroy: A bay on the west coast of Wienke Island. Formerly a British research station, Port Lockroy was declared a historic site in 1996 and is now a museum. During the summer months a post office is run at the station by the British. The tourist postcards posted here will receive a special stamp with a special cancellation.
