Català: La Universitat de València va ser fundada l'any 1499 sota el nom d'Estudi General i és, a més de la universitat més antiga del País Valencià, una de les més importants i amb més llarga tradició a l'Estat espanyol. S'organitza entorn de quatre campus principals (situats a l'avinguda de Blasco Ibáñez, l'avinguda dels Tarongers, a Burjassot-Paterna, i a Ontinyent), a més de diverses extensions, delegacions i centres adscrits, com ara Gandia. La Universitat de València compta, a més, amb emplaçaments com l'edifici de la Nau, el Jardí Botànic, o el Palau de Cerveró on es donen cita, sovint, congressos, trobades i exposicions diverses.
