English: The Kumbheshvar Mahadev temple of Kumbhariya is a 12th-century Hindu temple near Ambaji, north Gujarat. It is important because it is a Shiva temple built close to Kumbhariya Jain temples complex and shares some style and themes similar to the Jain temples. Often, in Gujarat and elsewhere in India, Jain and Vishnu-avatar temples are found together. The Kumbheshwar temple is one of several where Jain and Shiva temples are co-located, attesting to the long tradition of co-existence between Jain and Shaiva Hindu traditions.

The Kumbheshwar Mahadev temple has a square plan, Chalukyan-style architecture and elaborate artwork. Of particular note are the elephants, Hindu festive and cultural scenes depicted in the reliefs, as well as artwork showing legends of Shiva, Vishnu, Durga and Vedic deities. Similarly, the temple art includes maithuna (erotic) scenes and stages of human life in a style found in historic temples of Rajasthan and north Karnataka.

The primary niches around the sanctum outer wall show Bhairava, Nataraja (Natesh) and Chamunda.
