Deutsch: Sinterterrassen im Yellowstone-Nationalpark der USA. Die Sinterterrassen liegen beim Ort Mammoth Hot Springs am nördlichen Eingang des Parks. Heisse Quellen lagern teilweise bis zu 2 Tonnen Kalkstein pro Tag über die Terrassen verteilt ab.
Simple English: Sinter terraces in the Yellowstone National Park of the USA. The sinter terraces are located at Mammoth Hot Springs at the northern entrance to the park. Hot springs sometimes deposit up to 2 tons of limestone per day over the terraces.

Die Aufnahme entstand im Jahre 1985 mittels einem Diapositivfilm. Das gerahmte Einzeldia wurde im Jahre 2004 mit einem Diascanner in das JPEG-Format umgewandelt und zur Bildverbesserung mit Adobe Photoshop Elements 18.0 bearbeitet.
