in
halbiert. Es folgt das Bestimmen des Punktes
folgend aus
des Punktes
folgend aus
und der Kreisbogens um
mit Radius
bis dieser den Umkreis im ersten Eckpunktes
des entstehenden Neunzehnecks schneidet. Anschließend wird der Punkt
auf dem Radius
so bestimmt, dass
ist. Beim Verbinden des Punktes
mit
ergibt sich der Schnittpunkt
auf dem Kreisbogen
.
Enneadecagon
edit![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/1e/01_Neunzehneck_E-8.svg/500px-01_Neunzehneck_E-8.svg.png)
Since a construction with compass and ruler alone is not possible, it makes sense to represent the regular enneadecagon as an approximation. To get the first side length with a good approximation, only
construction steps are required.
Construction description
editAfter dragging the circumference around the center point , e.g. with the radius
and the drawing of the two symmetry axes
and
the radius
is halved in
. This is followed by the determination of the point
following from
of the point
following from
and the circular arc around
with radius
until this the circumference in the first corner point
of the resulting enneadecagon intersects. Then the point
on the radius
is determined so that
is. When connecting the point
with
the intersection point
results on the circular arc
.
It continues with the determination of the point following from
and the circular arc around
with radius
until it cuts the circumference in
. After determining the point
following from
becomes
with
connected; this creates the intersection
on the circular arc
Now a straight line (red) from
through
until it intersects the circumference at the corner
. The connection
with
delivers the first side length
(red) of the enneadecagon. Finally,
is removed seventeen times counterclockwise on the circumference and the remaining sides are drawn in up to a finished enneadecagon.
Result based on the unit circle r = 1 [unit of length]
edit- Constructed side length of the enneadecagon in GeoGebra
- Side of the enneadecagon
- Absolute error in the constructed side length
Example to illustrate the error
editWith a radius r = 100 km the absolute error of the constructed side length would be approx. 8.4 mm.
