Čeština: Portrét bodalky stájové (Stomoxys calcitrans), která vypadá na první pohled jako obyčejná moucha rodu Musca. Na rozdíl od ní má však místo měkkého polštářkovitého ústního ústrojí dlouhý ostrý sosák, kterým nabodává teplokrevné hostitele (obvykle savce včetně člověka), jejichž krví se živí. Kolorovaný snímek pochází ze skenovacího elektronového mikroskopu SEM JEOL 6380 LV umístěného na PřF UK. Obrázek byl použit na obálku popularizační parazitologické knihy nazvané „O parazitech a lidech“. |
