These impressive bronze neck-collars are otherwise known as breastplates. The presented piece, consisting of three crescent-shaped hoops crowned with small volute handles, was cast in its entirety using a special mould.

English: MNS/A/15959 The breastplate from Kalisz Pomorski, dated to the 5th period of the Bronze Age, i.e. ca. 900-750 BC, represents a group of necklaces modelled on artefacts from the Nordic culture. It represents its local Pomeranian variety - unique and exceptional, which, having been imported from Pomerania, is also found in northern Greater Poland. Dorota Kozłowska
