| Description |
English: A pair of Dm12 railcars 4410 and 4412 seen at Savonlinna prior to departure on 6 July 2016 with train H742, 09:30 Savonlinna to Parikkala. The station is a basic single platform with waiting shelter.
The original Savonlinna station was another kilometre further on, the line continuing on between the gap in the buildings roughly centre of the picture. This was closed in 2011, the newer station being closer to the town centre. Nowadays the line through to Huutokoski and Pieksämäki has been disused since 2015 because of poor condition of one of the bridges. |
