Description07.10.95 Crewe 31423 (8196313915).jpg |
One of a few class 31/4s to receive InterCity mainline livery is seen at Crewe on 7 October 1995. 31423 "Jerome K Jerome" is ready to depart on 1D65, 10:24 Crewe to Bangor. During the 1990s several trains along the North Wales Coast route were hauled due to a shortage of DMUs. Most trains were formed of 4 or 5 Mar1 or 2 coaches being hauled by ETH fitted class 31/4s or 37/4s. |
