Description A rack line offering splendid views over Lac Léman (Lake Geneva). 800mm gauge and electrified at 850V dc. Connected to the main SBB system at Montreux, the line climbs up to 2,042 metres (6,699 feet) above sea level. Taken at the end of the line with thick snow on the ground, railcar Bhe4/8 no. 301 "Montreux" is waiting to depart on train 84, 16:00 Rochers-de-Naye to Montreux. Date taken 8 November 1998.
