Michael Hatzenbuhler, a crew chief with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265 Reinforced (HMM-265 REIN), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), performs routine maintenance checks on a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter aboard the flight deck of the forward-deployed transport dock ship USS Denver (LPD 9), Oct. 9. Marines from the MEU will use the helicopter to conduct heavy-lift humanitarian assistance disaster relief operations in Sumatra, Indonesia in the aftermath of several earthquakes that rattled the region.
