Address/Title: 105 West Jackson Street Photographer: Zehmer, John G. (John Granderson), 1942- Original Description (from Book): This house of c. 1800 -1825 was the first black bank in the nation. It was the home of W.W. Brown [i.e. Browne], the founder of the True Reformers and founder of the bank. The house has an interesting bracketed cornice and porch added to this unusually wide Federal home which is similar to 133 West Jackson Street. City/Location: Richmond (Va.)
