Summary edit

Description
Pengesekk. Hollandsk innskrift over: "Het.
English: This image shows a relief wood carving found mounted above a wooden door in Nils Stokbergs grave chamber at a church (Borgund?) in Ålesund, Norway. It shows Death tearing at Stokberg while wife an children are watching. The inscription is dutch (maybe the carver was dutch) and says: "Het. Our worldly goods are life itself: Is lent to man, not given". Apparently this was somehow lost during the 1904 city fire of Ålesund, but has later been in storage.
