Description U.S. 6TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Dec. 01, 2014) – Marines with Golf Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), offload from an MV-22B Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced), 11th MEU, during sustainment training in D'Arta Plage, Djibouti, Dec. 1. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the embarked 11th MEU are deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
