Den här videon visar hur du kan använda din TI-82:a (eller motsvarande) för att hitta linjära funktioner som passar bra till x- och y-data som du har.

I korthet:

  • Mata in x- och y-värden som två listor, helst L1 (x) och L2 (y).
  • Gå in på "stat plot" och slå på visning av dina x- och y-värden. Glöm inte att justera Window-gränserna om det behövs!
  • Gå in på stat - calc - LinReg för att få fram en linjär funktion som matchar dina data så bra som möjligt. (Använder du inte L1 och L2 kan du behöva ange vilka listor du använder; kolla i manualen om du inte lyckas lista ut det genom trial-and-error.)
  • De data du får fram beskriver vilka k- och m-värden din linjära funktion har (även om räknaren har andra namn på de variablerna). Skriv av och skapa en ny funktion för linjen!
  • Om du dessutom vill plocka ut ett speciellt funktionsvärde kan du gå in på (2nd) calc - value för att ange x-värde.
Att kunna göra linjära regressioner är kunskaper som kan vara bra att ha i livet i allmänhet, men inte minst är det bra att ha i matematik 2b och 2c. :-)
