Description 127-GW-1643-137430: Atomic Bomb-Nagasaki, 1945. This shrine survived the force of the atomic bomb in Nagasaki but the sprawling ordnance plant in the background is a mass of twisted, buckled and scorched girders and framework. Photographed at Nagasaki by September 16, 1945. Official U.S. Marine Corps Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives. (2016/10/25).
