Description Ray Hennagir, center, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, dives for a volleyball during practice for the 2013 Marine Corps Trials Feb. 27, 2013, at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Hennagir lost both his legs and four fingers on his left hand to an improvised explosive device while with the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion in Afghanistan in 2007. The top 50 performing Marines in the trials were to compete on the all-Marine Warrior Games team in Colorado Springs, Colo., in May. The Warrior Games is an annual event allowing wounded, ill and injured Service members and veterans to compete in Paralympic sports including archery, cycling, shooting, sitting volleyball, track and field, swimming and wheelchair basketball.
