Description
Nederlands: Foto van een witte lap, gebruikt als capitulatievlag in Rotterdam op 14 mei 1940 door sergeant-majoor Gerrit van Ommering. De vlag is gemaakt van een bedlaken en gebruikte hij om met de Nederlandse delegatie verschillende keren veilig tussen het Nederlandse en Duitse militaire hoofdkwartier te lopen. Op dezelfde dag vond het Duitse bombardement op Rotterdam plaats, waarna de stad capituleerde. De volgende dag capituleerde Nederland.
