Description
English: PABRADES, Lithuania - Maj. Gen. Almantas Leika, commanding general, Lithuanian Land Forces, along with Juozas Olekas, Lithuanian Minister of National Defense, and Lt. Col. Gintaras Jurciukonis, acting chief of staff, Lithuanian Land Forces, inspect the formation of German, Hungarian, Lithuanian, U.S. and U.K. Soldiers Nov. 3. Officials opened the multinational exercise Iron Sword exercise Nov. 3 with ceremonies in Pabrates, Lithuania, at the General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Range and in Rukla, Lithuania, on the drill grounds of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Algirdas Mechanised Infantry Battalion. Nearly 2,500 Soldiers from Canada, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Luxemburg, the United States, and the United Kingdom are participating in the exercise from Nov. 2-14.
