Description

Albrecht von Brandenburg (1490 – 1545) wird im Alter von 18 Jahren dargestellt. Albrecht ist als Anwärter auf ein geistliches Amt im weißen Chorhemd, dem Chormantel und rotem Birett dargestellt. Durch den aufwärts gerichteten Frömmigkeitsblick wird seine zukünftige Bestimmung angezeigt. Der kostbare Mantel in Goldbrokat mit der großen silberngetriebenen mit Heiligenfiguren besetzten Schließe demonstriert sein großes Bedürfnis nach Repräsentation und seine Ambitionen bereits in jungen Jahren. Am rechten Daumen seiner im Schoß gefalteten Hände trägt er einen Siegelring.
