Čeština: Všenky kočičí (Felicola subrostratus) jsou paraziti specializovaní výhradně na život v srsti koček, kde se živí okusem odumřelých pokožkových buněk. V přední části jejich hlavy si můžeme všimnout hlubokého žlábku, který svým průměrem přesně odpovídá průměru kočičího chlupu a umožňuje tak parazitovi velmi pevné přichycení na těle hostitele. Svojí aktivitou v srsti způsobují všenky nepříjemné svědění a dráždění pokožky, kromě toho představují i vhodného mezihostitele pro některé druhy kočičích tasemnic. Na fotografii je vidět větší samička s oblým zadečkem a menší sameček, jehož zadní část je zašpičatělá. Kolorovaný snímek pochází ze skenovacího elektronového mikroskopu SEM JEOL 6380 LV umístěného na PřF UK. |
