Description 160608-N-NF288-113 WATERS SOUTH OF JAPAN (June 8, 2016) Capt. Brett Crozier, executive officer of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), watches as an MK 38 chain gun is remotely fired on the XO’s sponson. This is one of four MK 38 mounts on Ronald Reagan. The USS Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
