Summary

edit
Description A return visit to the Blackbird Air Park at Palmdale for me, but a first visit for my son, This is the only place in the world where you can see both types of Lockheed Blackbird - the A-12 and the SR-71 side by side, together with a U2 and the D21 drone for the blackbird. The guides here are mostly retired Lockheed employees and ours had worked directly for Kelly Johnson on the design of the SR-71 - what a treat that was to hear all about it from the genuine article!
