English: In March 1918, Mr. Thomas M. Dolin and his wife Alma (Panell) lived at 1644 Cambridge Boulevard. Mr. Dolin served throughout the Spanish-American War as chief musician of the 7th Ohio Regiment and leader of its band. Afterward he worked as one of the Columbus Central Y.M.C.A. secretaries. His daughter, Hazel, married John W. Pontius, also a Secretary of the Columbus Y.M.C.A. John and Hazel Pontius were among the original members of the Upper Arlington Book Club. Hazel Pontius was a member of the first Board of Education in Upper Arlington and served from 1918 to 1927.
