Megan Tatu, commander of the 164th Corps Support Group, Army Reserve unit based in Mesa, Ariz., talks to Soldiers and Iraqis about the symbolism and importance of the olive tree during an olive tree planting ceremony with Iraqi civilians and American Soldiers on Dec. 23 on Logistical Support Area Anaconda, near Balad, Iraq. The 164th, which is currently assigned to the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), received 164 olive trees from Burchell Nursery in Oakdale, Calif. Federal Express shipped the olive trees for free to the Soldiers who will spend Christmas even planting the trees around Anaconda. |
