Description
Deutsch: Ehemalige Grabplatte aus der Neustädter Hof- und Stadtkirche St. Johannis in Hannover im heutigen Stadtteil Calenberger Neustadt. Der aus Frankreich geflohene Hugenotten und kurfürstlich-hannoversche Oberhofmeister Siméon de la Chevallerie de la Motte (* 1635 im Schloss L'Éperonnière/Anjou; † 27. Februar 1698 in Hannover) war maßgeblicher Mitbegründer der hannoverschen Französisch-reformierten Gemeinde, wurde in den Adelsstand erhoben und nach seinem Tode in der Kirche unter dieser Grabplatte bestattet. Nach den Zerstörungen der Kirche durch die Luftangriffe auf Hannover im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde die Grabplatte neben vielen anderen an der Aussenwand der Kirche angebracht nahe dem Querschiff am Neustädter Markt ...
