Description
English: The Saher-ki-Masjid (literally, "mosque of the city") was built between late 15th and early 16th-century by Gujarat Sultanate. It was one of many mosques that replaced the previous Jain and Hindu temple complexes of Pavagadh as previous Hindu kingdom with Pavagadh as capital was conquered by Islamic armies. The Saher-ki-masjid was built as a private mosque for the royal family and nobles. Notable for its five mihrabs and Islamic artwork, it is close to the Champaner fort and citadel walls.
