Description 180203-N-N0901-001 RAMSUND, Norway (Feb. 3, 2018) A U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician and a Royal Norwegian Naval EOD Commando lay a training mine for a follow-on cold water advanced neutralization procedure during exercise Arctic Specialist 2018, in Ramsund, Norway, Feb. 3. Arctic Specialist is an annual explosive ordnance disposal and mine countermeasures exercise hosted by the Royal Norwegian Navy that provides challenging and realistic training to participating nations while strengthening interoperability and enduring relationships. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
