Description
English: Advertisement showing the train and steamboat route from New York City to Worcester via Allyn's Point, published in 1859 by the Norwich and Worcester Railroad. The steamboats for this route were Commonwealth and Connecticut, owned by the Norwich and New London Steamboat Company, which had a partnership with the railroad. The advertisement promotes Commonwealth as "the ne plus ultra of steamboat architecture". North is to the right in this map.
