English: Hall Gasoline Trap by John W. Hall, of the John W. Hall & Sons Co., carriage makers in Jacksonville. Ill., planned to offer a motor car, and therefore built a handsome 4-passenger automobile weighting it at 700 lbs. It was scheduled fotr the Chicago Times-Herald contest in November, 1895, but failed to appear due to the non-operable Kane-Pennington engine used. It later recieved two Walls engines made by the Decatur Gasoline Engine Company, each driving a rear wheel. |
