"Les carburiers, sous l'impulsion d'Ernest Sautter, président de l'Union des fabricants français de carbure de calcium, créent en 1905 l'Office central de l'acétylène (OCA), qui s'installe au 104, boulevard de Clichy, à Paris. L'inauguration a lieu le 15 décembre 1906 : l'honneur en revient à Marcellin Berthelot, qui a été le premier à réaliser la synthèse de l'acétylène."
English: Inauguration of the 'Office central de l'acétylène (OCA)” (Central Bureau for Acetylene) in the presence of Mr Marcellin Berthelot, 15 December 1906. (The work of Berthelot contributed to the development of the welding with acetylene.)
