The Pontiac Cheiftan was assembled in Australia from 1937-58 Shipped to Australia from Canada in CKD form and assembled by General Motors Holden. These cars came with chevy engines, and 4 wheel coil spring suspension. Unique to Australian models in 1939, the door handles were in line with body trim, with the Canadian models, they handles were below the trim. Engine; 235 cu in 6 cyl |
