Summary edit

Description
English: 1940 Nash Ambassador Six. This is the four-door Trunk Back Sedan model (a fastback 4-door was also available, as well as two-door body styles including convertible). Fully integrated with the body, this visually recalled the add-on trunks of the 1920s. This model rides on a 121-inch wheelbase (it was 125" for the more-luxurious Ambassador Eight models). All Nashes were powered by twin ignition engines with two spark plugs per cylinder. This car has the 234.8 cubic inch 105 bhp straight six with seven-main-bearing crankshaft. Nash Ambassadors were up-market cars and came well-equipped with standards that included sumptuously upholstered interiors with passenger assist straps, door armrests, rear seat robe cord; dual windshield wipers and sun visors; locks for steering, ignition, and glovebox, etc.The 1940's features a revised front end with new round, sealed-beam headlamps adopted by most U.S. cars that year. Picture taken on the show field of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) 2019 Hershey meet that is held every October in Pennsylvania.
