In 1940, the Studebaker was available in 3 wheelbases; Introduced in 1939, the base model SWB Champion, Introduced in 1937 replacing the Dictator, the mid Commander, and also the top of the line LWB; President, At this time, they were also assembled in Adelaide, Australia.. This car, on display at the Canberra War Memorial, has an Electrolux charcoal fired gas producer mounted to the rear- petrol being hard to get during the 2nd World War.
