| Description |
When Cord went out of business in 1937, Graham-Paige and Hupmoble decided to save their own waning fortunes. Body dies for Cord's 812 Beverly Sedan were purchased, and each carmaker took a turn slipping their own mundane running gear under those classic Cord looks, creating the Hupmobile Skylark and this car, the Graham-Paige Hollywood Sedan. The difficulties of fitting a rear-wheel drive chassis under a body designed for front-drive created technical problems and delays, during which time customers cancelled their orders; Graham-Paige eventually went out of business. |
