| Description |
The Willys-Overland MB US Army Jeep and the Ford GPW were manufactured from 1941 to 1945. These small four-wheel drive utility vehicles are considered the iconic World War II Jeep. Willys initially won the contract to supply the war dept with Jeeps but the demand was so great, Ford was asked to produce them as well. During World War II, Willys produced 363,000 Jeeps and Ford some 280,000. Willys won the rights to continue using the Jeep name after the war, hence the CJ Jeep. Engine; 54 hp 134 cu in Side Valve 4 cyl, 3 spd manual with 2 spd transfer case and selectable 4WD |
