Description

After World War II ended in 1946, Chevrolet started building cars again, the 1946 model was very similar to the 1942 car, with only a new grille. The last facelift of this shape in 1948 saw the grille change again, a heavy vertical bar was back in the centre of the grille. The 1946 to 48 Chev was available in base Stylemaster and upmarket Fleetmaster in Sedan, Coupe, Convertible, Wagon and Delivery. Also available was the fastback bodied, Fleetline in Sedan or Coupe. Chevrolet sedans were also produced in Australia by General Motors using modified American bodies from 1926-68.
