| Description |
The Y-type MG was a small 4 door saloon based on the Morris 8 Series E chassis and was built from 1947-53 with a The YA was built from1947-51 and the YB from 1951-53, the YB got better brakes, suspension and smaller wheels. Also available was the YT 4 seat open Tourer built from 1948-50. Replaced by the ZA Magnette. Engine; 1250cc 4 cyl from the MG TB, with single SU carb. (the YT Tourer got twin carbs). |
