Introduced as the New Austin Seven, it was Austin's answer to the Morris Minor, it was built from 1951-55, replaced by the very similar A35 (The A30 had Chrome grille, small back window and trafficators in the door pillars, the later A35, a larger back window, painted grille, indicators below the headlights and larger 948cc engine) A narrow but tall little car, looked like a miniture version of the bigger saloons Originally available as a 4 door saloon, a 2 door introduced in 1953 and the van and Countryman in 1954.
