Originally was Kaiser-Frazer in 1945, then the partnership split in 1948, and was then just Kaiser Motors, merged with Willys-Overland in 1953 and then with Jeep in 1963. Eventually sold to AMC in 1970 The 1951-55 Kaiser cars were a sleek, modern looking vehicle for their day, and had the 2nd most powerful 6 cyl at the time. The Manhattan, was the top trim level for 1952, but the mid-level below the new Dragon for 1953. Featured in 1953 was a wide chrome band wrapping around the cars' lower bodies, small chrome tailfins rested atop the rear fenders, and the front fenders were decorated with script nameplates.
