Description

The 1955 Chevrolet got a new chassis and new styling, the start of the most popular generation of Chevrolets.1956 and 1957 got facelifts, 1957, the grille got more chrome and twin spears set in the hood. Down the back, the tail fins were more pronounced. Still available in 1957 was the Base 150, mid 210 and top, Belair. The 210 got the same wedge shaped side trim as the Bel Air but the Bel Air got an aluminium insert whereas the 210s was painted. Bodys; Sedan, Coupe, 2 and 4 door Hardtop, Wagon and Convertible. Chevrolets were also produced in Australia by General Motors using modified American bodies from 1926-68. Engine; 235 cu in blue flame 6 cyl or 265 and 283 cu in V8s
