Champagne. The Comet was built from 1960-77, initially, it was based on the Falcon but slightly longer wheelbase and upmarket interior. The 1st generation (1960-63) had a very similar shape to the Falcon. Originally designed for just a 6 cyl, in 1963, the suspension and chassis was upgraded to accomodate a V8. The S-22 package got bucket seats, console and extra tail lights. Available in Sedan, Coupe and Wagon, the Convertible and Hardtop were introduced in 1963.
