Description
English: 1964 - Allentown Motor Inn at 400 Hamilton Street. This was built as part of the New Lehigh County Courthouse/New City Hall redevelopment project of the Fourth Street Hill on Hamilton Street. In the process, the redevelopment project removed many homes from the early part of the Twentieth Century. It was planned to be a hotel that visitors to the Downtown Shopping District would stay at. The Allentown Motor Inn never worked out how the planners designed it. It eventually became Hamilton Plaza, Allentown Manor, then Hamilton Tower, used by the Allentown Housing Authority.
